SPECIALIZED CRUX CYCLOCROSS BIKE 2021

Specialized’s Crux Cyclocross Bike is ready to race, whether in the local leagues or higher echelons of competition. It features the same FACT 11r carbon frame as the rest of the range, with a flattened top tube and large front triangle opening to facilitate easier shouldering, and with its latest diet having reduced its weight by 400 grams, it is now easier than ever to carry. Compliance has also been increased in this latest iteration of the highly successful Crux; by shortening the seat tube and increasing the seatpost length there is now great comfort without any detrimental effect on pedalling efficiency. Handling is quick and aggressive thanks to steep angles, perfect for the cut and thrust of ‘cross courses and with 8mm of clearance on 33mm tyres even the muddiest races shouldn’t cause a problem.

SRAM’s single paddle shifter design is ideal for cold, wintery races as the paddle is easy to operate with wet, numb hands and the 11-speed Apex 1 groupset offers reliable shifting with consistent all-weather braking from the hydraulic discs. Specialized’s own Axis Elite Disc wheelset and 33mm Tracer Pro tyres can be set up tubeless which is ideal for typical cyclocross courses.
